How to Get Started

Here’s information for getting started with the intake process and becoming a new patient. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Getting Started: The Process

Initial Contact & Screening

Begin by completing our online screening form or calling our office to speak with our intake coordinator. This brief screening helps us understand your child’s needs and ensure our practice is the right fit for your family.

Acceptance & Intake Forms

Once your screening is reviewed and you’re accepted as a new patient, we’ll send you a secure link to complete our comprehensive new patient intake forms. These forms gather important medical history, developmental milestones, and current concerns.

First Visit Via Zoom

Your first appointment will be a virtual Zoom consultation with Dr. Roberts. This visit is for parents or guardians only and allows us to discuss your concerns, review your child’s history, and develop an initial understanding of your family’s needs in a focused environment.

Second Visit

The second appointment will include your child. Dr. Roberts will meet with your child to conduct assessments, observations, and begin building a therapeutic relationship. This visit format will be in person at my office.

Third Visit

Your third appointment will be a virtual Zoom consultation with Dr. Roberts. This visit is for parents only and allows us to discuss impressions and recommendations. This will also be a time for you to ask any additional questions. A comprehensive report will likely be mailed to you within 4 weeks

Care Coordination

Dr. Roberts may continue to assist with care coordination, lab work, medication management, etc. or you may decide to have your primary care physician to manage your child’s care.

Continued Care

Dr. Roberts is available for further consultation or questions if the need arises.
